Tomorrow is the day that determines the course of our country for many years to come. This is BIG! And in case you don't respect your freedom to vote enough, Starbucks wants to give you a little motivation. Take a look... oh, and by the way, a little food for thought: if you don't exercise your freedoms, how long until they are taken away? I will give you a hint... how long do you keep something around that you don't use? Think about it.

Check out the statistics from the company that was voted the MOST ACCURATE polling site in the previous election. They had their statistics down to a difference of only 3/10 of a point! Maybe things aren't as much to one side as they thought... check it out here!

So, Emerson had her first sugar "buzz" this Halloween as we hit the local mall and went store to store saying "tratoteat" and "thank you"! She was adorable, precious, and a candy collecting maniac! Here is my favorite pics from the night. Check out facebook for more pics! Man, I love this little girl! Oh, and my wife is stunning! I love you!

Five Statements…
To
reach people no one else is reaching, we must do things no one else is doing.
·
We’re
not talking tweaks. We must do
things radically different.
·
I
want this phrase to bother me for the rest of my life.
·
This
will make some people VERY UPSET.
But we have got to try new things!
·
If SOMETHING doesn’t break us out of the routine, we will spend
the rest of our lives talking to church people.
·
It’s
not about doing it better. It’s
not about doing it louder. It’s
all about doing something COMPLETELY DIFFERENT!
·
Every
great movement of God began with an idea.
·
Become preoccupied with those you haven’t reached as opposed to
those you are trying to keep.
The
Next Generation product almost never comes from the previous generation.
·
The
next church, the next leadership will come from your student ministry
·
If you are a senior pastor, you must pay attention to and fund
student culture and the efforts to reach it.
·
Realistically,
if you’re over 45, you’re not going to come up with a new idea.
·
Don’t
do to the next generation what the previous generation did to you. Give them margin!
·
Be the person who champions the next generation.
·
If
you will get over yourself, there is not telling what we would be able to
accomplish.
·
Be a student, not a critic.
·
Critics
rarely learn anything because they think they know everything.
What
do I believe is impossible to do in my field but if it could be done would
fundamentally change my organization?
·
Somewhere
in your world, there is a limiting factor.
·
Keep
this in front of you and don’t ever let it go until you crack the code.
·
Pay attention to people who are breaking the rules.
If
we got kicked out and someone else was brought in what would they do? If so, why would we not kick ourselves
out and came back in and make the same changes?
·
What often happens is we fall in love with the way we do ministry.
·
No
pain, no change.
·
Where
are you manufacturing energy? If
you’re not excited about it why are you doing it?
·
Acknowledge what’s not working and own up to why you are unwilling
to do anything about it.
·
If
you don’t make the changes, the next person will.
When
your memories exceed your dreams, the end is near.
·
Are
you vision oriented or celebration oriented?
·
Are
you willing to lean HARD into the future?
·
The present is really just a reflection of the past.
·
Don’t let success overshadow your vision.
Success breeds complacency, and complacency breeds failure.

Culture Making
The process…
·
Condemn
·
Critique
·
Copy
·
Consume
The real answer…
·
Cultivate
·
Culture
only changes when you make more of it.
How?
·
Together
·
One
of the unbreakable laws of culture is together
·
Every
act of culture begins with a small
group of people, but never one.
What are you cultivating?
What are you creating?
Who is in your creative circle?
